Clawhammer Farm was founded in 2009 by Nick Westervelt and Becky Mumaw in Lisle, NY. They raise pigs and piglets, chickens raised in Joel Salatin-style tractors, seasonal fowl (ducks/guinea hens/turkeys) and rabbits. All of their animals are antibiotic- and hormone-free. 2 cats named Abraham and Colors, an ornery new puppy named Dart and a future milking cow round out the gang.
Clawhammer has a meat CSA, and you can find their meats at several restaurants in New York City, including Back Forty, Franny’s and iCi.
